Traditionally this is the Day to Honour and be thankful to The Guru.
When I first met BABA (Swami Purnanand Bharti) in Australia, in the early 1990’s it was an immediate Love Affair! At that time I could not understand his English, but spending time with him, walking together or just sitting silently together, ignited a wild fire within me, and within three months I was following him to India! I was blessed by his Unconditional Love.
At the time I had no idea what was happening but over the years sitting silently with Baba for many hours, something began to dawn on me, a deeper understanding – that the True Guru was the Innermost part of me! The True Guru was that Pure Consciousness shining within me. When i started trusting the Guru within me, my fears, phobias and doubts began to evaporate!
Baba wordlessly directed me away from all embodied Gurus – to the Universal Guru, to Pure Consciousness, to that which creates, to the very Source of Life.
