Are you feeling anxious when you see the first autumn leaves fall? Winter in the Northern Hemisphere seems to me always as a punishment. But even in the height of summer, when I lived in Australia I met a lot of women suffering from burn-out. As women we seem to multi -task, become such a Do-er for our families, that we seem to forget to look after ourselves. We work, look after a house hold, have children or step children, and keep on juggling tasks without a breath in between. But also young women, having a career trying to keep up with a social life outside, having to do a lot of exciting things, seem to be so tired..
Why anti-stress & burn-out just for women only?
Over the last few years I had a lot of people coming through my weekly classes and private classes who have been suffering from burn-out. It is not for every body to solve this with yoga, but if you can, it will help you tremendously.It is not just the physical postures, but also the breathing and the mental exploration.
When your burn out has come to a deep level, Yin yoga is often one of the things which can greatly help. The vision of Chinese Medicine is as following, our deep life energy is as our savings bank-account,called ‘jing’, our daily energy is like our running bankaccount.When we are getting very tired, and pushing ourselves on and on with coffee and so on. At one point our adrenaline glands are very drained, our body and being are very drained, and we start to use the deep life-energy from the savings account, which diminishes the energy out of our kidney meridian system, which could shorten our life-span according to Traditional Chinese medicine.
For us women, we cant relax as easily as men, when adrenaline or cortisol is flowing through our body..It takes time to relax, we will need touch, a massage, a hot bath, cuddling with our little babies, to bring us out of the space of hurrying.
Sometimes we start worrying and panicking easily when we are burned out ,or in the Chinese way of saying, often you start to be deficient in kidney yin energy. Our mind starts to think in circles, and we can’t sleep nor digest our thoughts, or too much impressions.We need the production of oxytocin to relax us and receive again a feeling of well-being. With men the relaxation process takes place in a different way, and the production of testosterone . As women we deal in different ways with repressing of our emotions or digesting our emotions. These are a few reasons this program is only for women.

Precies op een dieptepunt van mijn energie.
Precies toen ik me het liefst wilde verstoppen onder een dikke deken om in een diepe winterslaap te zakken.
Precies op dat moment nodigde Anoshe me uit om bij de yogini circle te komen.
Alles is welkom zei ze, je zult er veel baat bij hebben.ik werd bewogen, geraakt, ik ontlaadde en werd weer opgeladen door de kracht van de circle.
Ik viel in slaap en werd met liefdevolle zachte handen weer wakker geschud. Dank je wel Anoshe!
Eind 2015 heb ik meegedaan aan de yogini cirkel van Anoshe. En de cirkel heeft in alles mijn verwachtingen overtroffen!
Door het leven, en bepaalde gebeurtenissen in het leven, zat ik op bepaalde fronten “op slot”. Dat was niet belemmerend maar meer vanzelfsprekend. Er was stilzwijgend een patroon op getreden die mij veiligheid gaf. Maar wat is het verhelderend en vooral bevrijdend om uit het patroon te stappen en jezelf weer met andere ogen te bekijken. Weer Echt te voelen, weer Echt te genieten, weer Echt te leven en weer Echt te stralen! Letterlijk zijn we dansend door de cirkels gegaan en wat is het mooi om bij al deze bijzondere vrouwen zoveel liefde, vertrouwen en veiligheid te voelen! “What comes in the circle, stays in the circle
