Our aim at Stillnessinyoga is to share with you tools that can potentially transform your life into one that is more joyful, a life with greater understanding. We will not only offer you knowledge to pass on to your own students, but we will also practise together techniques of Yin yoga, Kriya yoga and meditation that we ourselves have practised and found beneficial in our own lives. And if these techniques are practised over time, consistently and diligently, opportunities abound for a person to transform his or her being to grow in awareness and self-understanding. Anoshes’ spiritual quest began after she took her first yoga class in 1982 in her birthplace Amsterdam. Besides yoga, she studied dance, T’ai chi, Bharat Natyam and many other forms of moving meditation.
She also frequently traveled to India, Kashmir, Hawaii & Europe to be with her teachers in silent meditation retreats. She understands the profound effect of silent meditation, which influences her yoga teaching. Anoshe teaches in a feminine, creative & loving way. She helps guide safe, meridian based alignment and directs the exploration between body and mind. In her Yin Yoga classes, she takes people deeply into the present moment using breath, finding the ease in the poses, reconnect with self, restoring energy and relaxation. She offers different meditation techniques to experience the heart of silence. Anoshe’s dynamic Vinyasa classes are both a yoga work-out, as the fluid sequences are breath-initiated, but equally relaxed. She adjusts students with touch to wake up the body awareness. Anoshe offers private yoga classes for physical, emotional guidance or just going deeper with your practice of yoga.
Anoshe is a certified (ERYT-500) Vinyasa yoga and Yin Yoga teacher and works in training teachers. She is also trained in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, Reiki, Prana-healing, Massage and Psychotherapy.
Nigam was born in England in 1948, and was a schoolboy of the 6o’s growing up near to Liverpool, a time and place of great social change. Leaving England in his early twenties, “with his guitar on his back and an old rucksack”, he started off on an individual search for understanding and more meaning in his life.
Pernille Christensen, Acupuncturist & Lecturer Chinese Medicine for Stillnessinyoga
Originally trained as a scientist, Pernille ventured her analytical mind into the realms of Chinese Medicine, trying to explain the profound effect on physical and mental well-being she experienced thought yoga and meditation. Finding an answer in the Chinese Meridian theory, she now runs a private acupuncture practice and teaches weekly yogaclasses in Leusden, near Amersfoort. Besides relieving pain through unblocking qi and blood from the meridians, she emphasises teaching patients and students the awareness of a continuous, smooth energy-flow throughout the body, realising this often means confronting certain aspects of one’s character, often explained by the emotional aspects of 5 element theory.
